Resilience in the News. Lacking Purpose Later in Life Can Signal Cognitive Decline, https://studyfinds.org/sense-of-purpose-dementia/?nab=0. "The study, conducted by researchers at Karolinska Institute in Sweden and Rush University in Chicago, followed over 900 older adults for up to 14 years as part of the Rush Memory and Aging Project. Their findings paint a compelling picture of how our inner lives may forecast our cognitive futures. The research assessed six key components of psychological well-being: self-acceptance, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, positive relations with others, and personal growth. Restated from above, "A life well-defined precludes optimal resilience." These are the pillars and foundation on the Pathfinder Resilience Tool--Meaning Map: your Purpose, significant Belonging relationships, Values-driven Routines, and Spiritual Intelligence. We make 35,000 decisions a day. What is the moral compass or Spiritual Intelligence that is inevitably guiding your Purpose, Belonging, and Values-drive Routines? Having a Virtues-driven Identity empowers your life with a spiritual identity that is indomitable. History bears this out.
Resilient Vocabulary Word. Common Operating Picture (COP). This was an extremely important word during a combat deployment. The Intelligence Officer was charged with providing to the Commander and his troops a holistic map of the battlefield. It would be dangerous to miss important parts of the picture. Chaplains were charged with providing a briefing called a Religious Area Analysis (RAA). What are the religious factors within the community effecting the COP? If you develop a personal Meaning Map, know and utilize your Compass, develop a point on the horizon to move toward a unified-focused goal, then you will have a Positive Self-Identity and a Horizon of Hope. Very simply put, these are the Seven Meaning Making Markers that will enable you to have unlimited resilience. You can map out your life to resilience.
